What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Assistant Teacher position at Allen Academy?
The Summer Camp Assistant Teacher is a part-time, seasonal, benefits ineligible position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs and Extended Day Coordinator in support of the school’s Summer Camp Program, Allen Adventures.
The Assistant Teacher works alongside a Lead Teacher to provide flexible childcare and create an environment conducive to learning and personal growth. The position provides child supervision, curriculum implementation and brings a creative and energetic spirit, encouraging children to learn through activities and experiences. The Assistant Teacher establishes effective working relationships with children, staff and families.
Camp Dates: June 2-27, July 7-Aug 1
Camper Details: Allen Adventures serves children ages 3-12, and classes are separated based on age/grade. Assistant's are assigned to one particular grade group for the summer.
*All staff must be able to attend a training session on Monday May 5 at 3:30pm, or be able to commit to an alternative training time prior to camp start date.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
