Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring they align with project scope, goals, and timelines.
- Integrate scheduling data from various sources for a cohesive project overview.
- Regularly update project schedules to reflect changes, actual progress, and future forecasts.
- Use Sage Timberline to establish and maintain accurate project budgets, track costs, and analyze variances.
- Implement cost control measures to ensure project costs remain within approved budgets.
- Prepare and share financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses with stakeholders.
- Identify potential project risks and work with teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on risk impacts to both the project schedule and budget.
- Maintain an up-to-date risk register, embedding risk management practices in project planning.
- Utilize Procore to track project progress, control documents, and facilitate collaboration.
- Generate and present performance reports that cover schedule, cost, and resource utilization metrics.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with project teams to identify improvement areas and corrective actions.
- Manage and document changes in project scope, schedule, or budget.
- Ensure all changes are approved, documented, and communicated effectively to stakeholders.
- Analyze the impact of changes on project outcomes, making recommendations as necessary.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate open communication between internal teams and external partners regarding project status, risks, and performance metrics.
- Support project teams by resolving project control challenges and promoting best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project controls within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Procore, Sage Timberline, and Primavera P6 Scheduling.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Advanced degree or certification in project management or a related discipline (e.g., PMP, CCP).
- Experience with additional project management software and tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to metal fabrication or construction.
- Experience working on large-scale projects or complex architectural metalwork.
