Job Summary: We are seeking a driven, responsible facilities technician intern to join our growing organization. This individual will learn the ins-and-outs of the Maintenance Team and contribute to daily routines and procedures at Chef's Warehouse/Alen Brothers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical tasks that require sitting, talking, and hearing regularly
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms frequently
- Stand and walk occasionally
- Analyze documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence effectively
- Communicate complex ideas to groups of customers or employees
- Apply mathematical skills in various units of measure
- Operate hand tools and power tools
- Run general industry-related errands
- Conduct research and gather documentation on company positions in the industry
- Attend company functions and networking events
About You:
- You must be enrolled in an accredited university/college in Junior or Senior year, or a Skilled Trades program/course
- At least 18 years old
- Your degree/program should be business-related
- Available to work a hybrid schedule for 40 hours per week throughout summer break
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
