In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our IT security posture aligns with industry standards and maintaining key data certifications. This position requires a hands-on approach to implementing security requirements and managing the associated processes and documentation.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Technology Security and Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our IT security posture aligns with industry standards and maintaining key data certifications. This position requires a hands-on approach to implementing security requirements and managing the associated processes and documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the IT security and data certification processes, with a focus on achieving and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as CMMC and NIST 800-171.
- Develop, update, and manage security plans and related documentation to support certification requirements.
- Implement security controls and ensure alignment between compliance requirements and physical systems.
- Work hands-on with networks, access control systems, and devices to implement and maintain security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated seamlessly into operations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for audits and external assessments.
- 5 years of experience in IT security roles, including hands-on implementation of security measures.
- Strong understanding of CMMC and NIST 800-171 frameworks, including practical experience applying these standards.
- Proven ability to manage the paperwork and documentation associated with certifications while implementing technical requirements.
- Experience working in small to medium-sized companies, directly managing networks, access control systems, and other critical IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to compliance and security challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external auditors.
- Previous experience leading a successful CMMC or similar certification process.
- Familiarity with additional cybersecurity frameworks or certifications.
