What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at Allen Industries Inc?
The position of Painter is responsible for prepping and painting signs, sign faces and cabinets.
DUTIES
- Properly prep a variety of substrates for paint
- Prep items for painting to include masking, sanding and applying bondo
- Paint mixing and matching
- Paint within a spray booth using HLVP guns
- Maintain paint equipment (spray guns, booth filters, etc.)
- Mask and disassemble signs/material for paint, sand, minor body work, rigging and assisting in moving signs
- Maintain clean and safe work area
- Knowledge of gravity feed and pressure pot systems
To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Painter position to have the following qualifications:
SKILLS
- Ability to move or carry ( with assistance) large or heavy material
- Knowledge of OSHA and PPR requirements for painting
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Organized, detailed and deadline oriented
- Ability to prioritize and follow directions per production orders
EDUCATION
- High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- METAL PAINTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED or the equivalent of experience in autobody painting.
