RESPONSIBILITIES
School Safety Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities
Experience with students from diverse backgrounds
Experience working in a secondary school setting
Monitor students at summer building site location
First point of contact for students / staff for any safety concerns
Report suspected criminal activity
Respond to emergency situations
Conduct high visible interior / exterior foot patrols
Initiate contact with trespassers
Assist with administrative searches
De-escalate verbal / physical confrontations
Assist with emergency drills
Provide assistance with attendance monitoring as appropriate
Interact with groups of students as age appropriate
Monitor students at arrival, dismissal and lunch
Communicate and interact with students, colleagues, and parents / guardians in a clear and professional manner
Other duties as assigned by the Site Administrator

Experience with students from diverse backgrounds
Experience working in a secondary school setting
Experience working with students with disabilities and / or behavioral challenges
QUALIFICATIONS :
Preferred Qualifications :
Current Certified School Safety Coordinator off probationary status
Ability to work in a team environment
CIP certified
Trained in Verkada Camera Systems
Flexible, dependable, patient
Bilingual Spanish / English
