Job Title: Estate Planning Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estate Planning Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents, managing client intake, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in legal document preparation, and a commitment to providing clients with an outstanding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and related instruments.
- Maintain accurate templates and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
Client Intake and Communication:
- Conduct initial client intake to gather necessary information for estate planning.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, answering questions and providing updates throughout the process.
Case Management:
- Organize and maintain client files, both physical and digital, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Provide exceptional client service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction after the completion of services.
Administrative Support:
- Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate with attorney and other staff.
- Assist with billing and invoicing.
Network with referral sources.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in estate planning or related legal work.
Skills:
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
