Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and renovations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinate with upper management to create and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and workplace safety standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address hazards
- Respond to facility-related emergencies and resolve issues promptly
- Manage the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste disposal to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain documentation and reporting for safety compliance and inspections
- Ensure managers monitor and enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and other safety protocols
- Stay updated on safety laws and regulations, ensuring that all practices align with current standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in facility management, industrial maintenance, or a similar role required; experience with a focus on safety preferred
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of facility management principles, safety regulations, and building codes
- Safety Knowledge: Basic Understanding of workplace safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints, experience in high and low voltage systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely completion of all maintenance and safety activities
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
- Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, hazardous material management, and emergency preparedness
- Pre-Employment Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead as needed
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and weather
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding and perform physical tasks that require agility and mobility
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations and handle potentially hazardous materials
