Responsibilities
Collect and verify employee timekeeping data to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
Calculate and process wages, bonuses, overtime, and other compensation to ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursement
Assist in applying and managing payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings in compliance with applicable laws and company policies
Process washout and spiff transactions for sales staff, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation in payroll systems
Assist in bank reconciliation by resolving any payroll-related discrepancies between records and bank statements
Assist in processing floor plan payoffs for vehicle sales transactions, ensuring all related payroll entries are accurate and timely
Address employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and timekeeping, providing clear and accurate information as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations by staying updated on changes to relevant labor laws
Provide general clerical support, including managing mail, ordering supplies, filing, data entry, and assisting with various office tasks to ensure smooth dealership operations
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1 year of experience in a payroll processing or related role; automotive payroll experience preferred
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel); familiarity with dealership management systems preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills to interact effectively with employess, vendors and customers
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential information appropriately
Excellent data entry, management, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy
Dependable, professional, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to improve
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug screen
