Our specialty practice is looking for an organized, reliable, medical office administrative assistant. The responsibilities include scheduling, patient communication, filing, billing support and various other administrative tasks, both in the front and back office. We are looking for a team player who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrives in a fast paced environment, but is skilled at filling downtime with self-directed projects.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
- Answering multi-line phone system to schedule appointments, answer questions, and direct calls to the appropriate party.
- Calling patients to verify appointments and schedule referrals.
- Greeting patients and provide them with appropriate paperwork.
- Verifying insurance coverage and assist the billing department.
- Collecting co-pays and deducible amounts at time of service.
- Electronic filing of patient information and documents.
Administrative Assistant Skills:
- High school diploma / GED.
- Professional and courteous disposition.
- Excellent communications and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task while still maintaining a high attention to detail.
- 2 years administrative experience preferred.
- Medical office experience and familiarity with electronic medical records a plus.
