What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Tech position at ALLEVIO CARE, LLC?
Allevio Texas Lab is a first in class Molecular Infectious Disease Laboratory specializing in Wound and Fungal Assays.
Our Team consists of highly trained and experienced medical professionals who are dedicated to deliver highly sensitive and accurate results typically within one day of receiving specimens helping providers diagnose and treat patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and experiments according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Collect and analyze data, record observations, and report results
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision of test results
- Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Order and maintain inventory supply
- Maintain worksheets, logs, quality control results, proficiency testing results, and maintenance records for laboratory supervisor to verify accuracy.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals
- Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a science related field (e.g. biology, chemistry)
- Medical Technologists’ certification is preferred, but not required (based on level of experience)
- Experience working in a fast-paced laboratory setting
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and laboratory procedures
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Our mission is to utilize the Thermo Fisher QuantStudio 6 Real-Time PCR system along with the KingFisher Flex, at Allevio Texas Lab, we use Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) for the detection of multiple organisms from samples collected from individuals suspected of a Wound infection and Onychomycosis by their health providers.
