Community and Events Manager

AlleyCorp
New York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 2/6/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 3/7/2025

We are seeking a strategic, thoughtful, and self-driven Community and Events Manager to help guide AlleyCorp through its exciting growth and expansion into our new downtown NYC HQ. The new space will feature five floors of office space purpose-built for the tech community, including shared co-working spaces for VCs and entrepreneurs, indoor and outdoor event venues, and a ground-floor restaurant and bakery.

As our Community & Events Manager, you will be responsible for managing select events independently while supporting the broader strategy and execution of AlleyCorp’s events program, ranging from intimate gatherings to multi-day conferences and trips. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of experience in events or community management who is eager to help build a growing events program while contributing to the creation of a vibrant and impactful community at AlleyCorp.

This is an in-person role based in New York and requires availability for evening events.

  • Coordinate events such as happy hours, lectures, panels, industry dinners, and founder gatherings.
  • Provide planning and execution support for larger milestone events, with the opportunity to take on primary ownership over time.
  • Support high-level strategic planning and proactively contribute creative ideas for new and engaging event formats.

Process Optimization:

  • Own and streamline event team administrative processes, identifying opportunities to improve RSVP management, guest lists, vendor relationships, staffing workflows, and event logistics.

Guest & Stakeholder Experience:

  • Deliver a high-touch guest experience by managing event communications (invitations, confirmations, follow-ups) and cultivating a welcoming, seamless atmosphere.
  • Maintain a guest CRM to track key relationships and ensure continuity across events.

Sponsorship & Partnership Support:

  • Assist in managing event sponsorships or partnerships, coordinating logistics for external partners who engage with AlleyCorp events.

Marketing Support:

  • Collaborate with the communications team to promote events as needed, and assist in creating event materials such as invitations, agendas, name tags, signage, or digital assets.

Team Culture Building:

  • Support the planning and execution of AlleyCorp team gatherings, including offsites, all-hands meetings, and other outings.

Building HQ Event Support:

  • Help develop a comprehensive events package for AlleyCorp’s new HQ, offering turnkey catering and staffing solutions for external parties hosting events in our space.
  • Serve as a point of contact for building event execution, ensuring seamless experiences for external partners.

Hospitality Collaboration:

  • Work closely with our on-site hospitality team to coordinate catering and staffing for internal and external events.

Brand Ambassador:

  • Act as an AlleyCorp brand ambassador at events, ensuring all guest touch points align with our core values and messaging.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Direct experience managing events in a brand, corporate, or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including founders, investors, vendors, and service providers.
  • A gracious host with a talent for delivering exceptional guest experiences, with a genuine passion for creating welcoming environments and memorable moments.
  • Highly organized and solutions-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt quickly to new challenges.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a deep appreciation for the power of small touches in creating exceptional experiences.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a tactful, diplomatic, and professional approach to engaging with all stakeholders.
  • Experience with design is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer:

  • A chance to be at the heart of innovation in the tech industry.
