Overview
The Aggregates Director will play a critical role in leading and optimizing aggregates production operations, including quarry operations, safety, product inventory management and distribution, and successful alignment with internal customers and partners. Reporting directly to the Vice President Aggregates, South Region, this role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams to achieve business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement by promoting best practices, conducting regular safety audits, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all team members.
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of aggregates production, including quarry operations, safety protocols, product inventory management, and distribution logistics.
Collaborate closely with parallel business units, including Ready Mix, Trucking and Construction, to ensure seamless integration of aggregates production processes and optimize resource utilization across the organization.
Develop and implement operational strategies and best practices to enhance productivity, minimize costs, and maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Oversee the development and execution of short-term and long-term production plans to meet customer demand projections and achieve business targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and streamline production processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety regulations governing aggregates production operations.
Lead and develop area managers in supporting, guiding, and developing a high-performing team of site leaders and operators, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to drive employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in aggregates production, quarry operations, or related field, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.
Strong understanding of aggregates production processes, equipment, and industry best practices, with a focus on safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage complex projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management, with a focus on optimizing operational performance and maximizing profitability.
