Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team at Alliance Automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems, as well as training junior engineers and technicians.
About the Role
This is a senior-level position that requires 10 years of experience in controls engineering. The successful candidate will have expertise in multiple areas, including automation and logic controllers, vision systems, and robot platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design system architecture for machine control systems, specify and program data collection systems, develop programming standards and code templates, and reduce the time of completion of programming projects.
- Leadership: Lead teams of controls engineers for larger projects, provide quoting and estimating numbers to the Applications team as needed, provide programming, commissioning, and debug guidance to junior engineers, and provide mechanical design input to help produce the best equipment we can.
- Expertise: Be considered an expert at using any platform of automation and logic controllers, selecting, developing, and implementing vision systems, and in multiple robot platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: 10 years of experience related degree or equivalent work experience.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines, excellent communication skills, and ability to interface with the customer in a professional manner.
