Mechanic Position
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with experience working in an industrial shop environment.
Job Description:
- Analyze malfunctions and repair power equipment, such as cranes, wheel loaders, haul trucks, conveyors, bulldozers, personnel transport vehicles, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists and hand tools, and examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
- Weld broken parts and structural members.
- Check and fill fluid levels, service lube points, and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Inspect and perform daily routine housekeeping as necessary to ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Complete assigned paperwork accurately and turn in work logs at the end of each shift.
- Work safely, responsibly, and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Be alert to hazards and changing conditions on mine property.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems in a timely and craftsmanship-like manner.
- Utilize technical drawing and testing equipment.
- Obtain replacement parts, install, and/or make repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience working in an industrial shop environment.
- Heavy equipment mechanic experience.
- Capable of repairing equipment to OEM standards.
- Diagnostics skills.
