We are a dynamic Freight Forwarding company specializing in air freight export from the United States, located at JFK Airport. We are seeking a Quote Desk Specialist to join our team and support the daily quote generation process. - Generate accurate and timely quotes for clients based on air freight export needs.
- Communicate with airlines, trucking companies, and other service providers to secure competitive rates.
- Review and analyze customer shipment requirements to offer the best pricing options.
- Submit offers to clients and respond to inquiries regarding pricing and services.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a seamless transition from quote to booking.
- Track market trends and adjust pricing strategies as needed to remain competitive.
- Maintain a detailed and organized record of all quotes provided and follow up with clients as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for air freight export quotes and operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any quote-related questions or concerns promptly.
- 1-3 years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry, preferably with air freight.
- Familiarity with air freight export processes and the ability to generate quotes based on market rates.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both internally and with clients.
- Proficient in Cargowise or similar freight forwarding software.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations (TSA, CBP, Department of Commerce) is a plus.
