ROLE: Material Handlers are responsible for pulling and palletizing the next day's production of doors. Handling the doors in the correct manner to keep the flow of production at its highest capabilities. Utilize the door sizing chart to ensure all doors are properly sized based on information provided on the work order. Work in a team atmosphere to accomplish your daily goal of production while maintaining all efficient and safe techniques of door pulling.
HOURS: Swing Shift, 3:30pm to 12:00am typically 45-55 hours per week (overtime not guaranteed) Monday-Friday and weekends off. Same start time each day, work until done.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Production Scheduler and other material handlers to ensure all doors are correctly palletize for daily production.
- Correctly orient/hand all doors and stage them in the designated manufacturing area.
- Ensure all product is correct and defect free to meet both Alliance Door Products and customer quality standards.
- Perform all daily, weekly and monthly machine maintenance applicable to the door pulling process.
CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Reach truck/ reach lift experience is a plus, we are a narrow-aisle forklift environment and use forward-facing stand-up reach forklifts, order pickers, and sit-down.
- Able to stand (8-9 hrs per day), walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift items up to 70 pounds.
- Participate in team lifts for objects between 70 and 150 pounds and maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, including marijuana.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience. (This includes $1.00 per hour shift differential pay.) Multiple raises are available in the first year.
