President—Alliance for Better Nutrition
Scope of work, and estimated hours per month:
Supply Chain—Ongoing time requirement = 8-12 hours per month
- Collective forecasting—from all Affiliates.
- Purchasing of raw materials.
- Process orders from Affiliates, ensure that shipments are completed on time.
- Create and maintain Database of Lot #s on all raw material shipments.
- Create and maintain library of samples of M micronutrients, for each production lot.
- Cultivate relationship with 3PL Warehouse, constantly communicating impact of affiliate’s work.
Third Party Logistics provider—10-20 hours per year
- Continually research 3PL options, to always have an alternative. Annual investment understanding their WMS (Warehouse Management System).
Alliance Expansion—Varies widely. 2-10 hours per month
- Communicate structure and advantages of the Alliance and Nutri-Plenty® to prospective organizations.
- Convey Alliance requirements and standards to prospective organizations.
- Determine which organizations meet the standards of the Alliance.
- Shepherd acceptance process with new affiliates.
Development—Avg. 1-2 hours per month
- Manage relationship with the Mathile Family Foundation & Mathile Institute
- Seek out grant opportunities, submit applications, ensure reporting is submitted on a timely basis.
- Keep ABN Board staffed with appropriate skill sets.
Marketing—Avg. 2 hours per month
- Website, especially so Affiliates can be contacted by potential sponsors.
- Brand recognition and Style Guide—Nutri-Plenty—in cooperation with PAH.
- Continue to expand marketing tools for affiliates, in response to their needs.
- Research need for additional meals, beyond rice-based Nutri-Plenty®
Finance—Avg. 6-10 hours per month
- Communicate transactions (Receipts/shipments) to accountant.
- Send invoices to affiliates / submit ACH requests to ensure receivables are up to date.
- Monitor accountant’s entries and financial statements.
- Generate periodic financial reports for Board and Mathile.
- Prepare information for 990 to be completed; review 990 before asking for Board review and approval.
Operations—Avg. 2-20 hours per month
- Coordinate collective discussions with Affiliate Directors (minimum every 2 months).
- Organize Annual Gathering for Affiliates.
- Monitor insurance coverage, and compliance from affiliates.
- Monitor compliance of affiliates, regarding SSOPs, forecasting, reporting and payables. Periodic travel to affiliates, especially to observe packing events.
- Maintain ABN connection with nonprofit resources (ex: TechSoup, Grant Station).
- Continue to build and develop resources on Dropbox, and create maps for navigation.
Range of time allocated to ABN
Time to lead the Alliance is estimated to be between 22 hours and 58 hours per month.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 14 per week
