The Department of Human Services (DHS) is in the process of replacing Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and Consumer Support Grant (CSG) services with Community First Services and Supports (CFSS). As the newest self-directed option, CFSS is designed to offer participants more choice, control, and flexibility with the services and supports needed to help them live and work in the community.
We are currently hiring a full time CFSS/PCA Agency Financial Coordinator to join our team. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. This is a remote position, with the possibility of periodic days/projects needed in our Eagan office. The qualified candidate will be assisting with the coordination of services, expenditures, and budget management for participants, their families, and their staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordination of services for participants with special needs
- Provide phone and email customer service to participants, their families, and their staff
- Budget/expenditure management
- Process electronic verified visits for participants’ staff
- Audit participant’s spending summaries
- Problem identification and resolution
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Located in Minnesota
- Able to Pass a DHS Background Check
- At least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma, at minimum
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, outlook, etc.)
- Highly and demonstratively organized
- Self-managed and motivated to work with little supervision
- Strong ability to multi task and transition back and forth between projects/tasks
- High proficiency in written and verbal communication skills with attention to spelling, grammar, thoroughness, and professional expression
- Upbeat and engaging in communication style with a positive personality/team player attitude
Additional Skills desired:
- Data Entry
- Financial background - ie. accounting, budget management, billing (Medicaid a plus)
- Phone/Email/Customer Service

- FMS, CDCS, and/or CSG programs
- Human services field
