HR/Payroll Manager - (Long-Term Care)

Alliance Health Management Services, LLC is looking for a full-time HR/Payroll Manager to help cover several of our not-for- profit long-term care facilities throughout MA.
This position will have oversight of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls and timekeeping systems, assist with managing employee relations, recruitment/retention, new hire orientations, benefit administration and worker’s compensation across multiple entities. This position is on-site and located in Southborough, MA. This position could shift to a full-time role at one of our long-term care facilities in the near future. This position requires travel across Massachusetts.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Assistance and oversight of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Assist with managing worker’s comp claims and work with claims adjuster
- Partner with Finance on proper labor distribution and assist Finance and Accounting department to ensure proper recording of payroll related expenses.
- Assist Finance and Accounting department with other payroll related research
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits which include, but are not limited to: Annual Financial Statement audits, Pension audits, Workers Compensation audits, Employee Benefit Plan audits etc.
- Assist with processing ACA Reports and Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) reports and others as needed.
- Assist with all benefit administration projects, new hire orientations, recruiting and employee retention projects.
- Assist with managing benefit plans and open enrollment
- Participate on employee events committee
- Assist with review and reconciling of benefit carrier invoices.
- Assist with maintaining OSHA 300 log and annual posting.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Attend off-site trainings as needed.
- Assist Executive Director and HR Director with Employee Relations Issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of progressive work experience in human resources and payroll operations.
- Prior experience with payroll and timekeeping systems. Paychex experience preferred.
- Experience working in a long-term care setting preferred but not required.
- Demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate both in verbal and written communication.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of the full Office 365 suite.
- Works well independently and in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30 to $33 Per hour
