Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring, ensuring safety when lifting or moving.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Help clients with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support individuals with disabilities by providing tailored assistance based on their unique needs.
- Complete medical documentation accurately to ensure continuity of care.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or working in a nursing home is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is an asset.
- Experience in assisted living or working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams are essential.
