Radiology Tech Assistant

Job Summary:

Alliance Imaging is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiology Tech Assistant to join our radiology team. The Radiology Tech Assistant will provide essential support to our radiologic technologists and sonographers, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care. This role involves preparing patients for imaging procedures, assisting with equipment setup, and maintaining a clean, organized environment within the department. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in a healthcare career and thrives in a supportive role within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Preparation: Assist in preparing patients for radiologic procedures by providing necessary information, helping them into positions, and ensuring their comfort.
• Equipment Assistance: Support radiologic technologists in the setup and positioning of imaging equipment, maintaining readiness for use, and adhering to safety protocols.
• Data Entry: Accurately record patient information, procedure details, and any other necessary data into the electronic health record system. Collect prior imaging and upload into systems. Complete release of information.
• Inventory Management: Track and restock radiology supplies, including gowns, linens, and other essentials to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the imaging rooms and department, including disinfecting equipment and arranging materials.
• Patient Transport: Safely assist in transporting patients to and from the department as needed.
• Front Desk Workflow: Assist with incoming phone call, scheduling, patient check in and registration as able.
• Assist with Special Procedures: Provide support during special procedures, including ensuring all necessary materials are ready and helping with patient positioning.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical license such as MA, CNA or LPN preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work under supervision

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
• Stand, walk, and move frequently within the clinical setting
• Perform duties involving occasional bending, lifting, and reaching
