Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a local manufacturer of flooring products for installation, maintenance and renovation of floors. We are looking for an experienced Chemical Operator ASAP!
Shift : Mon-Fri 5 : 30am - 2 : 00pm (training) 4 : 45am - 1 : 15pm (normal schedule)
Pay : $19 / hr
POSITION PURPOSE :
The Chemical Operator will assist with chemical operations and production in the operations plant. This individual will make bulk batches of products and oversee the equipment necessary to run a successful chemical manufacturing operation, while improving plant quality, efficiency, and safety. This individual will coordinate and take direction from the Production Supervisor to control plant machinery, perform tests, and improve chemical machinery operation. The Chemical Operator will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and time management and will also contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma and / or equivalent work experience
- 1 years of related work experience; experience within manufacturing is preferred
- Experience with commercial mixing or recipe batching
Must possess basic math skills for calculating percentages, dilutions, ratios, averages, etc.
Must possess troubleshooting skills that can be utilized in daily work.
Preventative maintenance experience of machinery is desirable
Experience in plant operations is a plus
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and be able to repetitively sit and squat throughout the day
JOB DUTIES :
Work in a hands-on capacity with staff on chemical manufacturing equipment and serve as a back-up resource during times of short staffing.
Follow SOPs for computer controlled automatic batch building and manual batch building.
Assist in the production of waterborne and solvent borne finishes, sealers, stains, and maintenance products.
Identify and correct equipment problems by performing standard trouble-shooting techniques; perform scheduled maintenance using hand, power and specialty tools as necessary.
Maintain raw material levels (totes & dispersion tanks).
Use floor scales and bench scales to weigh out raw materials.
Operate forklifts to move pallets and totes to / from designated areas.
Enter raw material amounts and rework amounts for batches into the inventory system.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, mixers, and tanks as directed by the Production Supervisor or machine software / manuals.
Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the SHEQ Management System(s).
Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines, travel when necessary.
