DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs workers in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Directs workers engaged in grounds maintenance, facilities cleaning and maintenance.
- Develops and maintains preventative maintenance program.
- Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies; keeps supply of spare parts.
- Modifies programs of equipment such as ovens and conveyors. May program PLC units or adjust programs
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Confers with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Performs activities of workers supervised.
- Regular attendance and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Associate degree in technical discipline
- A minimum of five years in a hands-on mechanical maintenance position.
- A minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
Preferred:
- PLC programming
- Familiar with paint processes
