Responsibilities
- Research county records (online or in person) to determine surface, mineral, and leasehold ownership.
- Perform in-house due diligence via digital records and identify title or contractual deficiencies requiring curative action.
- Prepare professional and efficient runsheets and title reports using client-approved templates or software.
- Conduct any additional research necessary to provide complete and accurate title reports within project scope, which may include surface, mineral, royalty and/or complex HBP title.
- Communicate effectively regarding any issues or needs that arise.
- Meet deadlines and billing expectations with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
- You take extreme ownership of your work, problem-solving rather than making excuses.
- You never settle for mediocrity - your work is thorough and high-quality.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in oil and gas land work or a PLM degree.
- Title experience in Colorado, Texas, and/or New Mexico.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro at an intermediate level or higher.
- Ability to adapt to and implement client software requirements.
- Highly attentive to detail and quality in all aspects of work.
- Open to constructive feedback and guided by integrity.
- Active AAPL membership required.
