A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $140,000 - $175,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer Licensure Required
- 7-10 years’ professional Electrical Engineering experience following industry codes & standards (NEC).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Design and plan production experience utilizing AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Revit is required.
- Experience in standard and alternative delivery methods, such as design build.
- The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time.
- The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team.
- Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills.
- Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Engineers and Project Managers.
- The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands from Project Managers.
- Manages electrical design efforts and works with the project team in the development and project completion of engineering projects focused in the municipal water and wastewater field.
- Typical projects will include electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater treatment plants, wastewater pump stations, booster pump stations, or similar related municipal utility infrastructure.
- Responsible for coordination with the project manager and staff, oversight of electrical design elements, and completing project tasks within a specified budget and schedule. This includes frequently interacting with and working with the client.
- Will analyze processes and systems to identify ways to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs in collaboration with the project team.
- Managing and recruiting staff and providing mentoring for electrical engineers in the municipal water/wastewater sector.
- Responsibilities include staff management, monitoring of quality control systems, effective utilization of resources, recruiting, selecting and development of team members.
- This individual will manage the electrical project team members and other production staff members as needed within the region.
- Must be able to work as part of a project team and coordinate/schedule work with other team members including other discipline leads.
- Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and independently manage these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.
- Responsible for bringing project from the design stage through to completion with multiple project team members and engineering disciplines.
- Interacts and works directly with clients, conducts preliminary evaluations, prepares various reports, produces detailed technical specifications and drawing packages, and prepares permit submittals for engineering projects.
- Balances multiple tasks on multiple projects.
- Coordinates with the project team regarding RFIs, submittals, contract modifications, and other changes to the project.
- Analyzes processes and systems to identify ways to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs within the electrical project team.
- Collaborates with the Project Managers to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Coordinates with other engineering departments when necessary.
- Participates in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as needed.
- In addition, this person will have the opportunity and responsibility to develop new work and clients related to electrical engineering services.
