Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced medical environment. This position involves working closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinic operations and optimal patient experiences. Experience in a medical office is preferred.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with medical terminology standards.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries, and facilitating communication between patients and the providers.
- Support the clinic's daily operations, including inventory management of medical supplies and equipment.
- Administer basic life support as needed and assist in emergency situations following established protocols.
Skills
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and effective communication.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritizing patient needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 36 per week
