We are looking for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician for our practice. The ideal technician would be dependable and energetic with a positive attitude and a passion for caring for others. Ophthalmology experience is a plus! Bilingual is preferred. Candidate must be willing to travel to our locations in North Arlington, North Fort Worth, and Decatur. Job responsibilities
- During clinic, perform patient work-up including the 12-points eye exam
- Scribe for doctor, if needed.
- Perform basic ophthalmic testing(visual field, OCT, FA)
- Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and sterilizing ophthalmic sub-specialty
- Monitor inventory of supplies and restock as necessary
- Properly operate common non-automated and automated ophthalmic equipment
- Ensure quality of care and safety of patients
- Properly assist physically and visually impaired patients
- Assist in administrative duties
- Opening the clinic prior to patient workup
- Work up patients within the required timeframe
- Accept other duties ad assigned
Qualified applicants will exhibit the following:
- At least 1 year in Retina is a plus, willing to train the right candidate.
- Bilingual is preferred, Spanish
- Proficient in computer skills: Word, Outlook, can work PC/mouse
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Loyalty: We are looking to hire a long-term employee
- Flexibility to work at multiple clinic
- Requires flexibility of hours; may be required to work overtime
