Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive training in life skills to promote client independence.
- Conduct thorough functional assessments to identify individual needs.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aligned with client goals.
- Facilitate pre-vocational training and cognitive skill enhancement.
- Guide clients in medication management and self-care practices.
- Travel to various client locations across Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as the five boroughs of New York City and Lower Hudson Valley.
- Proficiency in conducting functionally based assessments.
- Strong ability to create and execute comprehensive treatment strategies.
- Excellent teaching capabilities focused on promoting functional independence.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address client challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
- Own transportation and readiness to travel between client appointments.
- Bachelor's degree in Arts or a related field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree accompanied by three years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and developing skills for functional independence.
- Proven ability to complete functional assessments and design goal-oriented plans.
