Maintenance Service Dispatcher- Mechanicsburg, PA
Alliance Shippers Inc. is one of North America’s largest providers of global logistics and transportation services. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Repair Service Dispatcher to join our Maintenance Department staff in Mechanicsburg, PA
Successful candidates should have:
Experience in Intermodal or Over-The-Road trucking operations
Or
Experience in Rail Industry
As well as:
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in the refrigerated transport or rail industry is a significant advantage.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Excel, Word) and data entry systems.
The Role:
Our Maintenance team members ensure the efficient and timely repair of our refrigerated fleet, directly impacting the success of our operations.
The key parts of the job include:
- Manage incoming service requests via phone and email.
- Coordinate with a nationwide network of repair vendors to schedule and track repairs.
- Ensure accurate documentation of repair orders, costs, and service history.
- Proactively communicate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Utilize Google Docs, Excel, Word, and data entry systems (Reach, Jot Form, and others as applicable)
- On Call rotation
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional requirements include:
overtime and occasional weekend work required
