What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner/Inventory Manager position at Alliance Steel Inc?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Day to day fulfillment and application of steel orders
- Overall management of inventory levels and aging, and coordination of inbound steel with purchasing department based on customer needs
- Manage applications in coordination with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure on time deliveries of customer orders
- Work in conjunction with the plant and the quality department to resolve any steel issues
- Problem solving
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently
- And other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to follow verbal instructions and training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· 2 years minimum experience (steel production planning)
· Attention to detail
· Familiarity with steel ERP's
· Excellent organization skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, have good listening skills, and be able to effectively communicate
· Must be computer literate and be fast and accurate in data entry and proficient in Excel.
· Must be able to work in fast paced stressful environment, have the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects, work independently, have strong attention to detail, and great follow up skills.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
