Our client, a well-established construction company in, Broward County, is seeking a seasoned accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring a proven track record in the construction industry and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications :
Construction industry experience is a MUST in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in Timberline / Sage 300 is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid PC proficiency
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bilingual candidates are a plus
Primary Responsibilities :
Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger
Record journal entries with accuracy and compliance
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures
Process Monthly AiA Billing and Quick Bills
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Utilize accounting software (Sage) for financial data tracking
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of financial records
Track and log change orders for each project
Perform job cost analysis and input estimates into job cost
Maintain Work in Progress (WIP) reports
Provide backup support for payroll
Education : No Degree required
