Alliant Construction is currently seeking an experienced, technically proficient,

Federal Market Project/Construction Manager with a belief in teamwork.

Candidates must have knowledge about every stage of the construction process

from scope development to project closeout. Project manager would be

responsible for multiple projects at one time.

The Project Manager will be responsible for obtaining, planning, directing,

coordinating and supervising construction to ensure an on-time, on-budget

project execution with high quality and no safety issues.


Responsibilities include the following:

 Manage project from proposal stage through closeout

 Handle any issues that arise resulting from unforeseen conditions

 Manage subcontractors, vendors and consultants through project

completion

 Communicate with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs and material

submittals.

 Work with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and implement

all contract deliverables, quality testing, and report requirements

 Coordinate with Quality Control and Safety representatives

 Coordinate required inspections with local and Federal jurisdictions

 Direct project activities to ensure conformance to project budget, plans,

specs, and schedule

 Create staging, logistics, and phasing plan for the project

 Responsible for project startup, including obtaining permits and licenses

and managing jobsite mobilization.

 Preside over pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor.

 Attend all OAC progress meetings and create monthly status reports.

 Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate work.

 Ensure that subcontractor(s) is fully executing and complying with his

contracted scope of work.

 Enter and update information in project management software (job status

reports, projects, change orders, and RFIs).

 Develop and administer subcontractor and purchase order change orders.

 Review projects, labor reports, safety documents, and schedules on a

monthly basis.

 Review and approve material/equipment invoices according to project

budget.

 Prepare payment requests and monitor collections.

 Meet with Federal Agencies to review projects and inspections.

 Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and

environmental quality standards.

 Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project

team for resolution.

 Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project

team

 Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work

or scheduling

 Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner

 Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and

completion

 Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions

 Forecast project cash flow in relation to project schedule

 Track financial performance of projects

 Prepare project reports for management and clients

 Interface with Client

 Serve as the main point of contact for the Engineer and Architect

 Lead coordination of subcontractors

 Manage overall project team activities

 Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures including

closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting.

 Mentor and train assistant project managers and co-op/intern students

Training / Specialized Experience / Certifications

 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and

education.

 5 – 10 years of Federal new build, renovation and repair type construction

 Management of Design Build and Bid Build projects

 Ability to help decipher and solve technical issues relating to construction

 Strong customer service ability

 Skilled in conflict resolution

 Good understanding of legal processes

 Able to maintain morale within group and foster an environment of strong

team spirit

 Ability to inspire trust and respect

 Support growth from within the company

 Ability to recognize personal shortcomings and be open to assistance

 Provide vision and motivation to team

 Strong ability to delegate and put trust in team members

 Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Background

 US Citizenship, ability to gain security access and pass a drug test.

 Ability to pass any additional background checks that may be required by

the FBI for access to the site.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in engineering,

construction or a related field is preferred but not required.

US Citizenship required. Ability to be able to gain security access and pass the drug

test required. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

The annual salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
