Position Summary
The Data Manager primary duties are to ensure the accurate collection of data and to analyze data for PBMR staff, stakeholders, and funders. The Data Manager works with PBMR staff to determine the data collection that best tells the story and demonstrates the impact of the work. The Data Manager supports the development of evaluation plans, implementation of database training and data fidelity checks, the creation of reports, and the presentation of results to staff, funders and stakeholders. The Data Manager provides thought-leadership to the ministry while leveraging industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of PBMR. The Data Manager’s work supports program efficiency, appropriate management of resources, and growing a culture of philanthropy.

Position Summary

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, social sciences, statistics, research methods degree preferred.
- Minimum two to three years of increasing levels of experience in data collection, data management, analysis, and reporting for varying audiences. Must have taken undergraduate level research methods and statistics courses (introductory and intermediate statistics). Course work in and/or laboratory experience with qualitative and quantitative methods strongly preferred (e.g., survey construction and administration, qualitative interviews, focus groups, etc.).
- Prior experience with non-profit program evaluation (design, implementation, and reporting) required.
- Experience working with justice-oriented and/or direct service providing non-profits strongly preferred.
- Experience in data collection and management, and data analytics tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SPSS required. Power BI and Tableau preferred.
- Define and document adherence to minimum standards of project operation including assessing model fidelity, documenting practices, evaluation of key indicators, providing feedback, course correction advice, and technical assistance and analyzing data to assess program effectiveness and areas of improvement.
- Design and maintain databases and systems. Analyze and interpret collected data.
- Understand data trends and patterns.
- Creating reports in the database to share updates.
- Documentation, evaluation, and reporting of current data collection items and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Data visualization, report writing and presentation of data to stakeholders such as staff, funders and external partners.
