The Director, Customer Identity and Access Management will report directly to the AVP, COO Business Controls Office. The role is both a business and a technical leader accountable for the prioritization and implementation of transformative capabilities for identity and access management (CIAM) for our customers and policyholders. This role will have direct accountability for overseeing the deployment and management of CIAM solutions, including authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), risk-aware workflows, and identity governance.

A successful candidate will have background in :

• Team Development : Create and sustain an engaging, inclusive culture aligned to Allianz Life values. Support employee growth and development with a focus on proactive people strategies and skill uplift, tied to future capability needs.
• Strategic Vision and Planning : Develop and oversee the execution of a multi-year strategic roadmap for CIAM maturity, driving the program forward through well-thought-out roadmaps and execution plans.
• Documentation and Training : Document CIAM processes, procedures, and best practices, and provide training and support materials to users and stakeholders.
• Compliance and Incident Management : Ensure compliance with relevant applicable regulations (e.g., NYDFS Part 500, CCPA, and HIPAA) and industry standards relating to customer data protection and security.
• Continuous Improvement : Leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision-making. Drive continuous improvement of the CIAM capabilities by staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• CIAM Controls : Implement authentication and access control policies and mechanisms to ensure that customers have appropriate access to resources and services.
