What you do:
Responsible for owning implementation of policy values calculations for new product, backlog incident items, and maintaining stakeholder engagement with a wide range of areas (actuarial, IT, compliance and legal). You will write and develop system calculations, requirements, and partner with leadership and product owners to understand operational challenges. This role leads development for technical solutions to achieve operational goals and efficiencies by applying knowledge of products, relevant regulations, and administrative systems. Instrumental in implementation of solutions in complex situations.
- Develop the Calculation Library and Problem Definition repository alongside other EO Tech Analysts and key stakeholders, which verifies and provides a source of truth for product calculations and incident breakage.
- Leads meetings to review technical requirements and facilitate discussions on solution application.
- Ensure traceability to any impacts from project or product team mods, enhancements, and system fixes.
- Verify Calculation Library and Problem Definition requirements through creation of mathematical and development testing tools.
- Research technical administrative opportunities and develops recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, through collaboration with partners and other technical areas.
- Using Agile methodology, participate in Scrum team(s) by identifying impacts or changes to product calculations, while evaluating risk and test coverage needed.
- Assist with creating clear and concise test plans and reviewing test evidence, in order to ensure proper test execution was completed.
- Manage and meet remediation timelines with the ability to debug and triage discrepancies effectively.
- Create and utilize reporting on production issues, using them to update traceability back to calculations and update risk coverage
- Investigate root cause and develop solutions for administrative technical issues.
- Assists with training and development of individuals. Peer reviewer of other’s work. Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Document processes, analysis performed and applications built.
What you bring:
- 2 years’ experience required: Relevant technical or insurance experience
- 5 or more years’ experience preferred: Relevant technical or business experience
- 4 year degree required or equivalent experience
