Overview
The Director of Trade Marketing / Finlandia Vodka role is pivotal to the critical need to create consumer impressions and awareness of the Finlandia Vodka portfolio through customer engagement.
The Director of Trade Marketing / Finlandia Vodka acts as the liaison to support Unity Beverage Group / Finlandia Vodka and key Unity Beverage Group distributors to execute marketing strategies of Finlandia Vodka, introduction of new products, assessment of opportunities in the market and analysis of brand performance.
The individual is Finlandia Vodka’s subject matter expert in the critically important Trade Marketing subject areas. The position is responsible for;
· Creation and implementation of supplier-approved programming based on market insights, national marketing platforms, and core objectives.
· Management of all sampling activities, festivals, trade shows, sponsorships, and events.
· Overall corporate website management, including content development, engagement/usability, functionality roadmap, and analytics.
· Oversight of Finlandia Vodka's social media activities across multiple platforms.
· In conjunction with the Marketing & Business Development team, responsible for enhancing distributor relationships, resulting in increased on- and off-premises trade marketing activity to drive increased consumer impressions and awareness throughout the United States markets.
\n- Acts as an advocate for Finlandia Vodka at distributor marketing meetings, including making presentations on the marketing calendar and reporting results of new product introductions.
- Works closely with the General Manager and Director of Business Development.
- Prepares and proofs price structures on new items and increases on existing ones. Responsible for communicating pricing, programming, and new items to the Unity Beverage Group network of distributors.
- Coordinates with Distributor Purchasing and Pricing personnel on all aspects of new products, including item maintenance and inventory requirements.
- Communicates with Distributor Purchasing on all Special Programming, changes in rotation, and extraordinary programming so that inventory levels are adequate for sales.
- Communicates with the sales force on brand initiatives via sales meetings, market blitzes, field work-withs, and visitation of key accounts.
- Prepares for and attends all supplier/distributor review meetings.
- Works with Finlandia Brand Teams to develop sales support materials, like Holiday Brochures and monthly cover themes.
- Reports on market trends and competitive activity to distributor sales and Finlandia Sales team.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 Years of Experience in Beverage Alcohol, preferably with multi-market experience
- Sales & Marketing Experience
- Digital Marketing Experience (web content & social)
- Previous experience with ROI analysis
- Previous experience with multitasking
- Previous experience with implementation of and accountability for processes
- Previous leadership experience required(direct and through influence)
- Must be creative
