Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Management Assistant to support our property management team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties while providing exceptional service to tenants and prospective residents. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of property management practices, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing tenant relations by addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate files and records related to contracts, leases, and tenant information.
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track interactions and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, upselling available units, and facilitating lease signings.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws in all tenant interactions.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule repairs and upkeep of properties.
- Assist with the administration of Section 8 housing programs as required.
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of property management principles and practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with Yardi software or similar property management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and relevant laws governing property management is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in sales or upselling techniques is advantageous but not required.
