Welcome to Allied Digestive Health! We are seeking a FT Nurse Practitioner orPhysician Assistant to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants inAlbany, NY! This role will be outpatient and inpatient duties! Hospitalist or strong Primary Care experience required.
- Summary :
- The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who isresponsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care forpatients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. Thisposition must comply with the standards of care, which include withoutlimitation assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of careand treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patientstatus and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaborationwith other health care team members. Essential Skills :
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine andtreat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS)
- Has, or eligible for, hospital privileges
- Comfortable multitasking with a sharp attention to detail
- Can perform duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner.
- Can demonstrate exemplary patient service skills and display courteousnessand respect.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to remain cordialthroughout the workday as well as to maintain patience under occasionalstressful situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills : Electronic medical records, MS Office
- Demonstrates strong time management skills and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws and safeguards and be able to always followthese guidelines
- Education and Experience Required :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure NY in goodstanding
- Current DEA certificate
