The Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gastroenterology at Allied Digestive Health is a key member of our team, responsible for conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for colonoscopy/endoscopy. This process involves collecting medical and family histories from patients, reviewing preps, and scheduling procedures or office visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening colonoscopy/endoscopy.
- Managing the patient throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure process, including obtaining and reviewing patient medical history, providing prep instructions, placement and removal of Capsule Endoscopy equipment, guidance to patient during procedure process.
- Providing high-quality patient care in an office setting.
Requirements:
- Current NYS LPN license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Intermediate level of computer skills.
- Ability to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
