Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access at Allied Digestive Health is responsible for conducting thorough medical assessments to determine patient eligibility for screening colonoscopies and endoscopies. This involves collecting detailed medical histories, reviewing patient prep instructions, and scheduling procedures or office visits as needed.
This role also entails managing patients throughout the Capsule Endoscopy process, including obtaining and reviewing patient medical history, providing clear prep instructions, placement and removal of Capsule Endoscopy equipment, and guiding patients through the procedure. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive medical interviews to assess patient eligibility
- Managing patients throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure
- Providing high-quality patient care in an office setting
Requirements:
- Current NYS LPN license
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Intermediate level of computer skills
- Ability to deliver personalized care to diverse patient populations
