Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and encourages physician input in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening colonoscopy/endoscopy, including collecting medical and family histories from patients, reviewing preps and scheduling procedures or office visits.
- Manage the patient throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure process; includes obtaining and reviewing patient medical history, providing prep instructions, placement and removal of Capsule Endoscopy equipment, guidance to patient during procedure process.
- Place and remove equipment for Capsule Endoscopies.
- Provide high-quality patient care in an office setting.
Requirements
- Current NYS LPN license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Intermediate level of computer skills.
- The ability to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to all age groups.
