We are seeking a qualified Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in Albany, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive health management for patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and communication.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as standards of care.
- Conduct outpatient and inpatient duties.
- Work closely with Hospitalists or Primary Care providers to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information necessary to examine and treat gastroenterology patients.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Eligibility for hospital privileges.
- Strong multitasking and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently.
- Exemplary patient service skills and ability to remain courteous and respectful.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and MS Office.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws and guidelines.
Education and Experience Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY in good standing.
- Current DEA certificate.
