Desktop Support Technician
*JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite support to authorized users in corporate offices, production floors, and warehouses, ensuring adherence to specified SLAs.
- Resolve incidents and problems associated with EUC equipment, including ruggedized devices, barcode scanners, label printers, and other industrial computing hardware.
- Perform reactive troubleshooting to identify and mitigate potential issues, preventing recurrence.
- Support users with network connectivity issues, including access to LAN, print and file services, WAN connectivity, and access to appropriate network segments.
- Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices, industrial tablets, and handheld barcode scanners as needed.
- Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals) in both office and factory settings.
- Provide software break/fix services and replacement of non-warranty assets for end users in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot and support network-connected printers, scanners, and specialized factory printing equipment (e.g., industrial label printers).
- Offer VIP support for essential personnel, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues for critical factory operations.
- Provide on-site hardware support for troubleshooting and problem resolution related to end-user computing technologies across the factory and office locations.
- Support telepresence and audiovisual meeting solutions for meetings, including setups in conference rooms and factory training areas.
- Maintain regular, accurate, and timely communication with internal teams, factory supervisors, and end users regarding support tickets and IT service requests.
- Utilize problem management databases and systems to track and report on customer calls and requests.
- Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical users across multiple departments.
- Assist in managing IT inventory and asset tracking to ensure optimal stock levels for replacements and repairs.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Experience working in an IT support role in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11) and deployment in large enterprises.
- Strong knowledge of data backup solutions and recovery procedures.
- Experience with Endpoint Management Systems (SCCM, Intune, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management.
- Familiarity with configuring and maintaining ruggedized mobile devices and industrial computing hardware.
- Understanding of network connectivity (wired and wireless), including troubleshooting VLAN and IP addressing issues.
- Ability to configure factory floor access points, barcode scanners, and industrial IoT devices.
- Experience with hardware configuration and repair, including printers, label printers, and mobile devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment (monitors, desktop PCs, printers) as needed.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with production floor workers and corporate personnel alike.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent experience preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
