Project Specialist Role- End User Services - NYC

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The Project Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional desktop support.

Responsibilities

• This position requires experience implementing IT Managed Services such as IT Service Desk, Deskside & Field Service Support.
• Experience in Project Management for an Outsourced Provider is highly desirable
• Experience handling Windows OS, re-platforming desktops to VM’s, bulk software installations, and rollouts.
• Implement enterprise software and IT security enhancements.
• Liaise with firmwide teams and end users to plan and deliver major desktop environmental changes.
• Capture and track RAID items.
• Capacity planning.
• Experience with Jira and Agile delivery processes.
• Experience using help desk call management system.
• Accountable for the successful execution and implementation of multiple concurrent projects – Each of these projects supporting a different external client
• Ensure business requirements are met, while at the same time balancing IT standards and preserving system/data integrities.
• Collaborate with Business and IT sponsors to ensure project decisions are made and issues are escalated and resolved appropriately.
• Responsible for maintaining overall project reporting (status, budget, resourcing, etc.)
• Accountable for ensuring accurate project cost tracking and compliance to all PMO and Client processes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide coaching and project-level guidance to the project team members.
• Experience working with a diverse workforce, geographically and culturally.
• Collaborate with the Client Business and IT sponsors, and executive leadership to ensure smooth outsourced IT transitions and maintain highly effective cross-functional communications standards

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience coordinating IT projects in an IT outsourcing environment.
• Client communication is critical to this position; your verbal and written presentation skills must be exemplary. We will ask for examples and references for both of these skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, including executive management.
• Demonstrated experience managing and tracking projects using the critical path, triple-constraints, and earned value techniques.
• Strong business acumen and business ethics is a firm requirement
• Experience coordinating diverse project teams, including full-time employees, part-time contractors, and off-shore resources at diverse locations.
• Strong analytical skills are required and must be demonstrated.
• Ability to interact at a 'peer' knowledge level with various functional areas - development, QA, business, etc.
• Demonstrated customer relationship management skills
• A demonstrated track record of project team development in a robust PMO environment
• Pragmatism and a can-do attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
