Position Summary
Our privately owned company has been in business for over 25 years and is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to support the Northeast region. This individual will be responsible for building meaningful relationships with new and existing customers as well as end-users in order to identify sales opportunities. This position requires someone that enjoys utilizing the relationships they have built and industry knowledge in an effort to negotiate and win project bids. The Outside Sales Representative will report directly to the Branch Manager and will work closely with the Inside Sales team.
Summary of Essential Position Functions
- Essential Functions:
- Cultivate and grow relationships with new and existing customer
- Ability to travel 80% of the work week and weekends if needed
· 20% of time will be spent at the branch
- Prepare quotes, contracts, and RFI responses for customers
- Maintain all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations
- Maintain all sales demonstration tools and applications
- Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by:
· Developing technical presentations for customer training events
· Maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Abilities Required
- Excellent oral/written communications skills
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS excel
Education and/or Experience
EDUCATION: HS Diploma or GED required with an Associate’s Degree or Higher Preferred.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE – 4 Years of experience in area of responsibility.
