Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Manager, Production Planning & Control in our Columbus, Ohio location to support our North American business. The Manager, Production Planning & Control provides strategy for efficient production planning for Allied Mineral Products North America plants. You will manage our scheduling process and leverage SAP to provide data that allows your team to schedule at the lowest cost manufacturing location. Optimize functionality in SAP to develop comprehensive production plans, considering factors like customer orders, forecasts, raw material inventory, resource capacity and transportation. Your experience in SAP will help us optimize the performance of SAP production planning, master scheduling, and EWM to achieve short and long-term corporate objectives. In this role you will manage two production schedulers and lead the enhancements and configuration changes of SAP to drive revenue and reduce costs.

Key Duties:
- Learn Allied Mineral Products culture, processes, and current scheduling model.
- Maintain and lead team culture throughout the organization.
- Manage the daily activities between SAP and the production teams across all North American Plants to meet or exceed department objectives.
- Develop cost to serve models to drive profitability.
- Analysis needs to include production efficiencies, raw materials, freight, and warehousing.
- Build rough cut capacity plans that model manufacturing and space requirements to support future business growth.
- Engage in “What-If” and scenario-based planning
- Become a partner with the demand planning team to help drive the S&OP process.
- Identify opportunities for Operations to use the forecast data as accuracy increases
- Work closely with internal departments to maintain proper communication.
- Specifically, IT to optimize the production planning process within SAP.
- Develop and maintain status reports on relevant Business KPIs and performance metrics.
- SAP tools and/or Power BI dashboards.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (business and/or operations management).
- 5 or more years of management experience, preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience within SAP S/4 HANA

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and interact with others at all functions and levels of the organization.
- Proficient in SAP Fiori and EWM: MRP setup, Batch management

- Strong attention to detail, fast paced and extremely service driven manufacturing environment.
- Team leadership capabilities
- On-site role Monday – Friday, weekend/afterhours as needed to support operational/customer requirements.
- Combination of Office and Plant work environments.
- Work environment conditions may be dusty, hot or cold when in the plant.
- Required to follow Allied Mineral Products’ Safety & Health policy and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
