Job Description
Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our potato processing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, with a focus on preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. This position will be responsible for managing a maintenance department and the position is considered as a working manager.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling work assignments, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment and machinery, including conveyor systems, frying-forming system, and packaging equipment.
- Work closely with the Operational departments to coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and develop safety procedures for maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with various department to ensure equipment is installed and maintained according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, downtime, and equipment repairs.
- Manage maintenance inventory to ensure adequate supply levels of critical parts and supplies.
- Responsible for meeting key performance indicators as defined by Safety, Sanitation, Quality Assurance and Operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within budgetary constraints.
- This position will have between 0-2 team members directly reporting to them.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, maintenance management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food processing plant or industrial manufacturing environment.
- OSHA 10 training required
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English, preference would be Bi-lingual
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies.
