What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bindery Operator Apprentice position at ALLIED PRINTING COMPANY?

What you'll do:
Gain experience and competence in a supportive environment, while learning and operating bindery equipment to evolve into an operator role. The machines may include the following: cutters, saddle stitchers, shrink wrap, drill, round corner, folder/gluer (which is the primary machine for this apprenticeship), die-cutter, and digital finishing line.
What you'll need:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Adept at learning new skills with great attention to detail.
- Meet physical demands of running a machine, which includes walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, etc for long periods.
- Adaptable to changes in production needs.
- You're a good egg who gets along with others.
At a minimum, you'll have:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year machine experience (such as manufacturing) or any production position within the print industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
