Rotating Equipment Engineer (Contract) - Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Cherokee, AL or El Dorado, AR
A leading North American chemical manufacturer seeks an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer for a contract position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in industrial rotating equipment maintenance and reliability.
What You'll Do:
- Lead reliability improvements for critical rotating equipment including turbines, compressors, and pumps
- Perform vibration analysis and implement predictive maintenance strategies
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical support during maintenance activities and turnarounds
What You Need:
- Experience with industrial rotating equipment in chemical, petrochemical, or refining operations
- Strong background in vibration analysis and predictive maintenance
- Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and reliability programs
- Understanding of industry standards (API, ASME)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- CAT II vibration certification preferred
- CMRP or CRL certification a plus
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Track record of improving equipment reliability
- Experience implementing predictive maintenance programs
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
